LGBTQ+ Night Promotion

Smuin Contemporary Ballet has a yearly tradition Smuin’s The Christmas Ballet LGBTQ+ Night. During the 2021 performance of The Christmas Ballet, Lady Camden, the drag persona of ballet dancer Rex Wheeler, was slated to host and perform “Santa Baby” the show’s signature holiday piece. Mercedez Munro stepped into the red hot heels of Lady Camden and hosted the event and afterparty when our diva fell ill with COVID. (She is fine now and cast in season 14 of RuPaul’s Drag Race!) Our team connected Smuin with the nonprofit Project Open Hand, working to improve health outcomes and quality of life by providing nutritious meals to the sick and vulnerable, caring for and educating our community. The night raised nearly $5000 to support the mission of POH!

In addition to developing the ad look and logotype for the event, we coordinated the philanthropic aspect of the event, afterparty plans and donations, and ran communications with Project Open Hand. We also followed up working with Smuin’s publicity team to facilitate news coverage of the event.

Smuin C4D Website and Social Media

Our client Smuin Contemporary Ballet recently opened Smuin Center for Dance so their Artists could teach other dancers and those who want to learn to dance. Our team developed their logo, opened their Facebook and Instagram accounts, created their webpage through the Smuin site, and developed a social calendar.

SacBallet 2021 Nutcracker Branding

In 2021, Sacramento Ballet returned to the stage with their beloved Nutcracker after a long period of social distancing in respect of COVID protocols and public safety. Our team designed a logo for the event and developed a look and feel. We coordinated a colorful photoshoot to communicate their energetic take on the classic, designed lobby posters and coordinated the design and production of a step-and-repeat.

In order to modernize and be ecologically minded, we developed a digital program for the ballet, using QR codes throughout the theater to bring audiences to the program hosted through the Sacramento Ballet website.
